HSUPS was formed as a limited company on 18th December 1993, with Chris Dann acting as Chairman, and Andy Corbett as Company Secretary. The Financial Director was Paul Whitehead and Graham Ward was looking after membership. Nigel and Sam Barnes-Evans formed the Sales team.
Mark Austin and David Start were executive directors, and David Start was also the Archivist and magazine editor.
Membership stood at 162 on 1st December 1993.
